Region 11 Straightaway Records
Eligibility:
All drivers and boats that have competed in Region 11 competition races in the previous 12 months (must have scored points) are eligible to enter competition for Region 11 straightaway records.
Equipment:
Boats and motors must be in the same configuration as qualified in competition.
Turn fins may be removed.
No fairings may be added or removed.
Height restrictions for competition will apply for Region 11 straightaway records.
Gear ratios must be the same as used in competition.
GPS speedometers are not allowed during timed runs.
Record runs:
Runs will be down and back only. One balk will be allowed in each direction.
A separate draw will be made for the Region 11 runs.
The Region 11 runs will be in the order of draw after the first round of world record runs are made.
Additional runs may be made (additional entry fee), and placed in the order of second and third runs for world record entrants.
Inspection:
Safety, before run.
Class 1 for all record breakers.
Entry fee:
No more than 1/3 the amount for world record runs.
Awards and Recognition:
Certificate of speed.
Posting of speed and picture of record holders on Region 11 web page.
