December Propeller, the C Stock Runabout Issue

Roland Dechert did a great  job on the Showdown at Sutherlin / CSR Class in the December propeller. If all those boats showed up it wouldn’t be a shoot-out it would have been a war. We are real fortunate to have Roland in the class, being the premier photographer in boat racing, he has been able to get CSR on the cover twice this year plus a feature article (centerfold to boot). If you haven’t all ready, be sure to buy some photos from Roland.

There is also good stuff on CSR at Crystal Lake NY. They are doing equally as well promoting the class back there. It was great to see Erica Bowman winning a race. Any ladies up to the challenge on the west coast? How about Kay Myers.

Racers. I need your help. I just got word that Egil

Nilsson was injured in an accident. He is the friend of Erica Bowman who races C Stock Runabout with she and her father Craig Bowman. Apparently a car turned in front of him as he was riding a bike of some sort. He has been hurt badly and will be laid up for a while.

Please let him know you are thinking about him by sending a card to:

I believe the accident occurred approximately 12-5-99. When we hear how he's coming along, I'll post it here on the front page. Whether you know Egil or not, I'm sure he'd love to hear from you. Craig bought a computer for Egil to use while in the hospital so that he could have something to do. Donations to go toward this computer are being gratefully accepted to help the Nilsson/Bowman families at this difficult time. Please help out if you can. Donations can be sent to:
