CALIFORNIA SPEEDBOAT ASSOCIATION (CSA) is a Northern California inboard race boat club, incorporated as non-profit in 1939 and a member of APBA.

Come join us at CSA if you would like to own an inboard hydroplane or Cracker Box racing runabout, drive one of these race boats, be part of a crew attached to one of these race boats or would just like to be around inboard race boats.

CSA races boats in Northern California , with a few races held in southern Cal., Arizona and Washington.

We hold evening meetings once every two months and hang-out informally in garages and at race sites.

CSA is particularly interested in recruiting young persons 16yrs to 25yrs who would like to learn about race boats and racing them. We are in the process of building up an entry-level learners class called 1.5 liter stock hydroplanes. These 14ft to 16ft boats use 4 cylinder Toyota and Nissan stock engines and are very inexpensive to own. There are several of these previously owned turn-key boats available in the USA priced in $2500.00 range. A local boat will be ready this spring and summer as a training boat for those wanting to learn about inboard hydroplane racing.
