The
Lake Washington Sailing Club is hosting our one day One-Design series. The
one-design series is designed to encourage the development of one-design racing.
On Saturday a set of one-design fleets will race a five race series, while on
Sunday separate set of one-design fleets will race a five race series. (See
“Schedule Dates and Times and One-Design Fleets below.) Lake
Washington is located at the turning basin for the Port of Sacramento. One can
expect the delta breeze to be around 10 knots with the occasional 20 knot day.
The cool delta breeze makes sailing at Lake Washington a welcome relief
from the 100 degree temps that fry the rest of the Sacramento area, yet the warm
water keeps the wetsuit in the locker. There
really is no better time to sail at Lake Washington.
Our facilities include a clubhouse with a large deck, a launch ramp, and
an eight hundred pound capacity hoist. This
regatta is open to any centerboard sailboat under 20ft length.
